Oftentimes our dogs Harry (L) and Lili (R), are inconspicuously absent. We will find them mesmerized as in this picture by a squirrel in a tree. Harry especially can stay there for a long time.   To them the squirrel is a purpose and they have all the time in the world… which got me thinking….

  • Their attention is not constantly distracted by phones in their paws
  • They practice mindfulness daily recharging their emotions and consciousness
  • They are always present and that focus shapes the quality of their lives
  • They treat time as both abundant and precious
  • Their past is done, and the future , well what’s that? – all they truly have is the now
  • They don’t kill time they  just anchor themselves in the present
  • They trust their gut instincts and don’t overthink things
  • They ignore constraints and use their intuition to get what they need
  • They find excitement in the mundane

🐿️ Are you waiting for a Squirrel? 🐿️

  1. I think I’m still trying to find my squirrel. Time with good friends “takes me away” and suspends time. I’m very in the moment. PS I retired from Gartner and hope you’re well.
