I love to bake it never aches I gave it up for for many years carbs were stirring lots of fears

Children always hungry before during and after school
They needed sustenance they needed fuel

Cakes and muffins biscuits and scones I was no slouch in the kitchen no lazy bones

Then they grew up and at the same time other foods were in their prime

And now I found the joy once more of baking things like I did before

Sourdough is my taste it never really was displaced

Making one of the oldest forms of leavened bread you need patience and a level head

Origins in ancient Egypt back at least 5,000 years
I’m experimenting. I’m sweating working all of the gears.

My starter’s called Mr. Stinky it packs a punch it’s not rinky dinky.

White, wholemeal, crackers, pizza rye and barley, I’ve made all so extra carefully

Anyway I have to go I have a slice with vegemite on the go

Shout out to my son in law Chris for the initial inspiration. ❤️
