“Irony is wasted on the stupid” – Oscar Wilde. Along the paths of my life, I seemed to have picked up a talent for irony. It can surface humor or complexity. I use it, depending on the situation, to add wit, or sarcasm or to indirectly critique those many situations that where beliefs are steadfast.
Here’s a selection all related to our wonderful government
- The NFL is strictly enforcing the taunting rule in 2025 to reduce ill will and confrontational behavior between players. – our President can do it all day long with no penalty.
- Make America Great Again somehow involves ignoring science and getting rid of many vaccine mandates and recommendations – Make America Sick Again?
- In March 2025, the Agriculture Secretary , suggested that Americans raise backyard chickens to combat rising egg prices. – wouldn’t that cost many times more when you consider the start up costs and maintenance?
- Our pledge of allegiance states “liberty and justice for all,” – except for a those in a suspected drug smuggling boat which we can just blow out of the water with no due process.
- When we don’t like the job data , we fire the Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics , but doesn’t it create concern about the integrity and impartiality of the very data the administration relies on to tout economic success?
- The President renames the Department of Defense to the Department of War, but he is quite keen to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. HA HA HA!
Anybody know where I can buy a live chicken 🐓 or two 🐓🐓?
That will do for now…….
