Just explaining up front…………………….
“Jip” (sometimes spelled “gyp”) is slang, mainly used in British and Australian English, meaning pain, trouble, or annoyance.
For example:
“My knee has been giving me jip all day.” (meaning it’s been hurting)
“Stop giving me jip!” (meaning stop annoying me)
Now for what this poem is really about……..
The knot so visible on the tree
The knot in your stomach pretending to be
The feathers that don’t quite match on the bird
The outfit you wear doesn’t match the herd
The coat on the cat is perfectly speckled
With age our skin gets wrinkled and freckled
The peacock authentic shows off his flair
Your ears decide they need to grow hair
The dog doesn’t always run with the pack
You see things as neither white or black
None of us can ever give nature the slip
My leg all of a sudden is giving me jip
You are beautiful without defect
You are totally imperfectly perfect
