When I was a young lad in Australia one of the bands we grew up with and loved was Skyhooks. One of their hits in 1975 was All My Friends Are Getting Married. For some reason it came into my head the other day and I found myself singing it but changing the words to All My Friends Are Getting Covid!!! 😀😀😀

Well all my friends are getting COVID
Waiting for a new year to unfold
They’re all staying home on weekends

But I’m caught up in this nightmare

Well I walked into the dinner the other night
And I saw my friends’ familiar face
They said “How are you doin’ José my boy?”
They said ” Tell me, are you still doing OK?”
I asked them all about themselves
They said they were vaccinated thrice
We sat down for dinner half inside
And ham and beef was shared by the slice
The COVID was lurking trying to hide
We didn’t know Delta from Omicron
Wonder if I’ll ever catch it
For others it just caught on
But I’m caught up in this nightmare
