Christmas morning rise and shine
Eager for my daily ride
Three towns on the warm coastline
See what I can find curbside

Today I am on a different mission
The roads are quiet the sidewalk’s not
Friendliness my supposition
Christmas spirit there’s a lot

The game is just to simply wave
To all those out there walking by
My best wishes I freely gave
I was feeling Christmas spry

A wave from one hand sometimes two
Some received a cool peace sign
More than 60 I did woo
My experiment’s going fine

The mission was for me to find
From my smiling trick or treating
How many would respond in kind
Almost all returned the greeting

The smiles and waves were evidence
The Christmas spirt still persists
That love is easy to dispense
It conquers all the narcissists

My ride’s complete I’m satisfied
A year of difficulties for many
To dull us all it really tried
It failed since goodness is a plenty

Merry Christmas and/or happy holidays to all of you.
