Dr Davis Is the other key doctor alongside Dr. Kwon who has been instrumental in keeping me alive so far. He and Dr. Kwon work closely together. Dr Davis is my Radiation Oncologist – Purveyor of Proton Beams et al.
I remember the first time I met him in 2016. I had done some research on who he was on line. His education fascinated me.
- 1980 Exchange Scholar – German Language and Mechanical Engineering Technische Universitat Munchen
- 1984 MS – Mechanical Engineering Massachusetts Institute of Technology
- 1990 PhD – Mechanical Engineering Massachusetts Institute of Technology
- 1992 MD. University of Illinois School of Medicine
- 1993 Internship – Evanston (IL) Hospital Program Internal Medicine Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine
- 1996 Resident – Radiation Oncology Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center
What fascinated me was his incredible journey and complete change of course from engineer to doctor. He started with a BS in Nuclear Engineering to PhD. in Mechanical Engineering, (at MIT no less,) to becoming an MD 10 years later. I told him that when we met, after a while he said “I find you fascinating as well,” ( I fooled him,) that was the start of our relationship.
We always have great conversations. In fact I have always looked forward to every visit to Mayo Clinic just to interact with these incredibly smart yet unbelievably humble and compassionate people like Dr. Davis
I have never ever doubted his commitment and expertise in martialing the incredible team he has to treat people with the formidable tools at their disposal. He has often commented on my positive attitude which I appreciate; you like to hear positive vibes from those who are treating you. I put my trust in him and his team. He is a wonderful man!
