A great man….
When I publish my 12th poem in the series, (coming soon,) I introduce Dr. Kwon from the Mayo Clinic whom I met in 2013. He has been instrumental in keeping me alive and committed to helping me beat this disease.
A couple of side notes you may find humorous. In his first clinical notes which still show on my record, he describes me as “….a nice 54 year old gentleman….” (if only he knew what a bastard I really am 😀😇😀)
Then in 2017 he asked me, “you are Australian correct?” I said yes. he then asked, “Can you get me something? I said I would try, what do you need? He asked me to get him a Crocodile Dundee hat. I told him that it may take me a year as my next trip to Australia was not until 2018.
In July of 2018 I delivered his hat safely after nurturing it in the overhead compartments of flights all the way from Melbourne via Perth, Sydney, Dallas, Fort Lauderdale, Chicago and finally to Rochester MN!
