1 minute read (three minutes if you watch the video at the end)

I mentioned in my Dark Days post that “I have many more good days than dark days.” Then it comes to reason that I share stories about some of these days, today being one, with you.

I woke up at six, fed the cat and got changed for my 7AM tee time. Engineered a 30-minute bike ride to get my daily cardio in, as well as getting me at the course a mile away in time. Played 18 holes of golf, alone by design, (parred 8 of them,) and was back home at 9:10.

I walked in the door was “licked to death” by the dogs and was at my desk at 9:15 with a cup of coffee, a long black for my aussie friends. ☕️

The doctor’s office called later in the morning to say he was out this afternoon sick and we had to reschedule my regular in-between chemo checkup. Ha Ha, (with no disrespect to the doctor,) I’m cool, no skin off my nose!

At lunch time I pinged a couple of my friends to see if they could help us on the weekend, they said yes! We bought a new TV which we want to mount on a media stand, it weighs just over 90 lbs. (44KG) and I don’t trust myself with this maneuver at the moment.

Work was fine, got lots done, a couple of my colleagues, separately on conference calls, commented about my new look of bald head and beard and told me I looked “baddass!!” 👺

Now on a Dark Day, the fact that you need to ask friends to help you because things you should be able to do easily you can’t, would launch the woodpecker at your skull, rat-a-tat-tat, reminding you of reality. But not on a good day; on a good day, Cancer Boy (yes in full disclosure and deprecating fashion, that is my nickname for myself) is thinking great, I can sit on the couch bark a few orders and get my new TV going, and I don’t have to pay for it!!

Towards the end of the day I got a little meditation in.

The rest of the day was just perfectly splendid…. 😎
