As AI and machines continue their unprecedented impact on society and human kind, it’s hard to imagine what that world and our lives will look like in the future. How should we act and what should we do to ensure we create a world for future generations, not harming them, but instead nurturing them equally?
They’ll do the thinking for all of us
But not feel the sun upon their skin
We’ll travel around in autonomous bus
Looking out for the beauty in human kin
What will it mean to be human now?
Human intelligence no longer zeitgeist
We will adapt we’ll make it somehow
There is no model that is all precise
What we work at is not all that clear
Productivity is no longer the game
Be not pessimistic and do not fear
Nothing’s unlikely to stay the same
We cannot stay attached to what we knew
We cannot stay attached to what we own
All is impermanent like me and you
Fear and uncertainty we cannot bemoan
Choose exactly who you want to be
In a world which once seemed so afar
Detach from our former identity
Continuously reinvent who you are
Never forget that we’re unique
We have presence and empathy
We don’t operate only “off peak”
Guide this new world ethically
